Newsfeed - February/March 2011

A couple of months have passed since our party and most of us have now recovered from the weekend (we are getting older after all). We have been a bit quiet of late, whilst waiting for the sun to finally rise on the horizon and glint off the chrome (sorry got a bit poetic there).. But, we have had some great Sunday runs.

Major breakthrough in getting our elected misfits to listen to us, they decided that charging double for road tax on your bike was a bit ..errrr.. unfair so it has dropped back to a reasonable level, the result is that several tight fisted members have been waiting with full wallets for April before renewing their tax.

Sundays have developed into a really good social event, with a good turnout of regulars, it is a good time to discuss stuff outside the formal (ish) meeting and of course take the p*ss.

So what’s happened?

Andy "Spoons" was officially pronounced "old" as he celebrated his 60th birthday (he’s had a hard life) in March. The party at the Glen Mona was good fun with DJ Yogi and his Girls. We were going to have indoor fireworks, but, Bri Corrie felt under Health & Safety it wouldn’t be a good idea to allow Andy and his 60 years of being marinated in brandy near an open flame. (see March gallery)

Chops and Sue whilst out foraging for food (they have guns you know), came across some rare Manx rabbits (see March gallery)

Bri Corrie finally has the trike on the road, after many months of piss balling about, by golly gosh its fast (see March gallery)

Went to Ginger Hall for a meal (very posh) to watch Rough Justice who have a new set and they were up to their usual standard (see March gallery)

Not long until TT !!!!
